Aliens on Ceres? NASA welcomes public speculation

(Credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech/UCLA/MPS/DLR/IDA)
Jason McClellan

That bright mysterious spot on Ceres is still a mystery. And, although the source of this illuminated area has already been the subject of much speculation, NASA is now requesting public supposition.
NASA’s Dawn spacecraft is in orbit around Ceres, the dwarf planet in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, which happens to be the largest body in that asteroid belt. Before entering orbit, Dawn photographed the planet, and those captured images reveal the strange illuminated area, which is actually composed of two bright spots within the same basin on the surface.

(Credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech/UCLA/MPS/DLR/IDA)

Speculation about the source of these unusual lights began immediately after Dawn’s photos were published by NASA. Puzzled scientists suggested a volcano, or light reflections off ice or water vapor as possible explanations. And others offered up the possibility that this illuminated region could be an extraterrestrial civilization.
The predictions continue to swirl. And, until Dawn can gather more data, NASA wants to know what you think is responsible for Ceres’ bright spot.
NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory launched a website on which visitors can share their suppositions regarding the bright spot on Ceres. The site states:
Can you guess what’s creating those unusual bright spots on Ceres? On March 6, NASA’s Dawn spacecraft began orbiting Ceres, the largest body in the main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Even before the spacecraft arrived at the dwarf planet, images revealed mysterious bright spots that captivated scientists and observers alike. Until Dawn gets a closer look over the next few months, it’s anyone’s guess what those spots could be. So, go ahead! Cast your vote
Visitors can select between a volcano, a geyser, a rock, ice, salt deposits, or “other.” An alien civilization best fits in the “other” category, obviously. And, at the time of this story’s publication, the “other” option has 29% of the votes, bested only by “ice,” which has 33% of the votes.

15 Plants That Teach Us Sacred Geometry At Its Finest

JOSH RICHARDSON

Plant growth is governed by the Fibonacci sequence, which can be understood as a law of accumulation. The role of the Fibonacci sequence in the growth of plants is a intriguing example of the unifying order behind all creation. These patterns exist at all levels and permeate the universe, reminding us that the same swirling energy is shaping, sunflowers, whirlpools, spinning galaxies, and our own DNA.

Sacred Geometry is the meeting of science and spirituality, ‘the blueprint, the structure of spacetime that organizes matter.’ It is an ancient science that explores and explains the language or building blocks of all things in our Universe.

When one looks into the absolutely vast amount of information that has been collected on the extensive number of forms in which Nature employs the proportion of Phi, it is obvious that there is no other specific number that recurs throughout life on Earth with such regularity.

In effect, the Fibonacci sequence describes how things grow, building and multiplying according to what's already there. This growth by accumulation is reflected in how trees branch, flowers form, and ferns unfurl.

All phenomena, from the infinitely small to the infinitely big ... the growth of plants, human body proportions, the structure of crystals, the orbit of the planets, light, music and more has a specific geometric structure. Everything in the Universe follows the same geometric pattern that fractals over and over creating endless possibilities of light, color, shape and sound. Every motion, system of growth, cell, plant, animal, planet, star, galaxy and black hole are all ruled by the mathematical laws of sacred geometry. Ancient cultures around the world have used this ‘mystery school’ knowledge to build monuments, churches and sacred sites. We have been studying these places for ages and through modern science perhaps we now beginning to understand the meaning and purpose behind these structures.

In an overwhelming number of plants, a given branch or leaf will grow out of the stem approximately 137.5 degrees around the stem relative to the prior branch. In other words, after a branch grows out of the plant, the plant grows up some amount and then sends out another branch rotated 137.5 degrees relative to the direction that the first branch grew out of.

The Fibonacci sequence governs the placement of leaves along a stem, ensuring that each leaf has maximum access to sunlight and rain. If you look straight down along a stem, the leaves (or branches) emerging from it will spiral such that when you count from one leaf to the one that lines up directly below it, the number of leaves between them and the number of times that group of leaves spirals around the stem will both be Fibonacci numbers.

This same principle is at work in the formation of pine cones, sunflowers, pineapples, and cacti. All have a double spiral structure that allows their smaller elements (seeds, for instance) to pack closely and efficiently. Look at the middle of a sunflower: you will see that the seeds line up in crisscrossing spirals radiating from the center, and if you count the number of spirals turning in each direction (clockwise/counterclockwise), they will always be Fibonacci numbers.

Here are 15 plants that perfectly demonstrate this principle:

UFO Over New York City Reported In Multiple 911 Calls — Police Refuse To Discuss ‘Fireball’

A UFO soaring over the Bronx in New York City was seen by dozens of New Yorkers on Saturday, leading to multiple 911 calls from panicked and freaked-out residents, alarmed by what one caller described as a “fireball” in the sky and another called a “flying spaceship.” But what was the object, really? So far, no one has been able to explain it.

Even more odd, when a New York Times reporter called the police to ask what was going on, he apparently ran straight into a stone wall. The police, apparently, refused to discuss the UFO sighting reports.

Times reporter Liam Stack made the call after hearing repeated reports of the UFO sighting.

But while the Times passed on publishing a story about the UFO, the New York Post had no such compunctions, even dispatching reporters to the Bronx to interview residents who saw the UFO in the early evening hours in the skies above the United States’ most populous city.

“I look up and see this fireball, ‘Whoosh!’ and then another, ‘Whoosh!’ ” said Jose Marrero, 57, who told the Post that he was on his roof tending to his pet pigeons when he witnesses the bizarre object overhead. “From one side of the sky to the other, too fast for an airplane.”

Another New Yorker, 25-year-old Andres Morales, took a photo that shows the alleged object, visible in the upper left hand region of the photo.

“I stuck my hand out the car window and snapped like crazy,” Morales told the tabloid. “I don’t know what it was but it was moving crazy fast.”
Here is a closer view of the UFO in Morales’ photograph.

Others who saw the object were not quite as quick to jump to conclusions.

The UFO sighting over New York City comes just a week after a UFO was reported hovering over a hotel in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

There have been numerous UFO sightings in New York City over the years, however. Perhaps the most famous occurred in 1974 — famous not as much for what the object may or may not have been, but for who saw it.
The sighting was reported by former Beatle John Lennon, who had relocated permanently from England to New York City in the early 1970s.
Lennon even immortalized his sighting in his 1980 song “Nobody Told Me,” in which the legendary rock star proclaims that he “ain’t too surprised” to have seen a UFO over New York City.
As for this latest UFO sighting in New York City, one self-described “UFO journalist,” Ryan Sprague, told the Post that while he is convinced “we’re dealing with anomalies that could potentially be nonhuman,” the Saturday UFO sighting occurred near New York’s La Guardia Airport, and the proximity could lead to “misidentifications.”

Why Being ‘Misunderstood’ Is The Best Thing That’s Ever Happened To You

The term “misunderstood” itself is a subjective one. I mean, what might not be understandable to some, for others, might seem plain as day.
In many cases, the man who gets labeled as “misunderstood” is the one who’s most in tune with himself.
Today, realness can stick out like a sore thumb, especially when the rest of the world appears to be caught in between smoke, mirrors and photo filters.
It feels like everyone is constantly trying to be someone or appear some way, striving to uphold an impression of normal – one perpetuated by trends and hashtags – and those who fail to play along are seen as outcasts.
Just because you fail to adhere to society’s method of doing things, however, doesn’t necessarily mean you’re incapable of being understood.
Sure, people might not personally relate to all the specific things you find interesting – or choose to engage in – but who said they’re supposed to?
When people are dubbed “misunderstood,” most of the time, this translates to them deviating from the norm.
You know, they’ll be the ones listening to indie music, watching independent films – generally being, you know, independent people.
When people choose to be independent and follow their own instincts, it shows a confidence in themselves. It shows a security within themselves.
When people choose to express themselves truly – and this deviates from society’s construct for how they should be expressing themselves – the easy thing to do is view them as deviants and plead ignorance – call them misunderstood.
But, like I said, “misunderstood” is subjective to who is doing the understanding, so to speak. Just because one chooses not to sway with whatever the masses are preoccupied with doesn’t mean he or she is at all conflicted.
In fact, here’s why being “misunderstood” can be the best thing that’s ever happened to you.

You appeal to a wider variety of people.

You never truly fit into one, clear-cut group of people. You weren’t athletic enough to be a jock, and you never enjoyed drinking beer enough to pledge a fraternity.
You have always sort of drifted in and out of different groups of people, depending on what inspired you on a given morning. This allowed you to meet a large network of people.
You never really wanted to settle in with just one group of friends; you always viewed that as limiting.
At the same time, you were never lonely, given your ability to interact and share interests with a broader variety of individuals.
Sure, it might be difficult for you to identify with one specific “clique” in particular; you realize different aspects of your being will appeal to different groups of people – and that’s always been fine with you.

People won’t be as likely to take advantage of you.

Throughout your life, people have always mentioned you’re “hard to read.” While you’re not entirely sure what this even means, you’re not necessarily complaining either because it’s prevented others from taking advantage of you.
You never wanted to be easy to read, especially in business situations. When people can gauge your behavior –  and presuppose how you’d react to certain outcomes – they can gain leverage on you.
For this reason, you really don’t care to explain yourself all that much to others – regardless of how “misunderstood” you may appear to the general public.
At the end of the day, as long as you’re at peace with who you are, you don’t really worry too much about what others might think.

You’re never worried to be yourself.

The best part about seeming “misunderstood” is that – in most cases – you’ll understand yourself perfectly fine.
Sure, you may appear avant-garde to the majority of your peers; it’s also not done by any great accident. You’re simply being yourself.
Humans are weird by nature. I’ve always believed the ones who appear the most normal are also the ones hiding the most.
Being “weird” doesn’t always convert to being “misunderstood.” In reality, it usually coincides with being the most transparent – the most raw.
And for this reason, you never find yourself trying to be someone you’re not.
Certain trends can strike the fancy of an entire nation, yet, if they don’t appeal to you, it’s all for naught in your eyes.
You’re comfortable with who you are. You could give a f*ck what anyone else is doing (or saying for that matter).
That’s true freedom.

You filter out close-minded people.

You know you’re not misunderstood. You know you might be a bit different – a bit difficult, at times – but you also realize at any given moment, your intentions could be easily distinguished. By the right people, that is.
To that end, you know those people who “understand” you (without having to label you as some societal derelict) are the ones you should be spending your time around.
It’s great being labeled as “misunderstood” to most because it acts as a filter for close-minded people.
Still, most people who call others “misunderstood” do so without having tried to understand them first.
The entire state of “misunderstanding” is a temporary one, one that can be solved with just a slight amount of effort.

After all, if the people around you don’t care to take the effort in understanding you – well, then why would you even care to be understood by them?

Is the universe a hologram?

Credit: TU Wien

At first glance, there is not the slightest doubt: to us, the universe looks three dimensional. But one of the most fruitful theories of theoretical physics in the last two decades is challenging this assumption. The "holographic principle" asserts that a mathematical description of the universe actually requires one fewer dimension than it seems. What we perceive as three dimensional may just be the image of two dimensional processes on a huge cosmic horizon.

Up until now, this principle has only been studied in exotic spaces with negative curvature. This is interesting from a theoretical point of view, but such spaces are quite different from the space in our own universe. Results obtained by scientists at TU Wien (Vienna) now suggest that the holographic principle even holds in a flat spacetime.

The Holographic Principle

Everybody knows holograms from credit cards or banknotes. They are two dimensional, but to us they appear three dimensional. Our universe could behave quite similarly: "In 1997, the physicist Juan Maldacena proposed the idea that there is a correspondence between gravitational theories in curved anti-de-sitter spaces on the one hand and quantum field theories in spaces with one fewer dimension on the other," says Daniel Grumiller (TU Wien).

Gravitational phenomena are described in a theory with three spatial dimensions, the behaviour of quantum particles is calculated in a theory with just two spatial dimensions -- and the results of both calculations can be mapped onto each other. Such a correspondence is quite surprising. It is like finding out that equations from an astronomy textbook can also be used to repair a CD-player. But this method has proven to be very successful. More than ten thousand scientific papers about Maldacena's "AdS-CFT-correspondence" have been published to date.

Correspondence Even in Flat Spaces

For theoretical physics, this is extremely important, but it does not seem to have much to do with our own universe. Apparently, we do not live in such an anti-de-sitter-space. These spaces have quite peculiar properties. They are negatively curved, any object thrown away on a straight line will eventually return. "Our universe, in contrast, is quite flat -- and on astronomic distances, it has positive curvature," says Daniel Grumiller.

However, Grumiller has suspected for quite some time that a correspondence principle could also hold true for our real universe. To test this hypothesis, gravitational theories have to be constructed, which do not require exotic anti-de-sitter spaces, but live in a flat space. For three years, he and his team at TU Wien (Vienna) have been working on that, in cooperation with the University of Edinburgh, Harvard, IISER Pune, the MIT and the University of Kyoto. Now Grumiller and colleagues from India and Japan have published an article in the journal Physical Review Letters, confirming the validity of the correspondence principle in a flat universe.

Calculated Twice, Same Result

"If quantum gravity in a flat space allows for a holographic description by a standard quantum theory, then there must by physical quantities, which can be calculated in both theories -- and the results must agree," says Grumiller. Especially one key feature of quantum mechanics -quantum entanglement -- has to appear in the gravitational theory.

When quantum particles are entangled, they cannot be described individually. They form a single quantum object, even if they are located far apart. There is a measure for the amount of entanglement in a quantum system, called "entropy of entanglement." Together with Arjun Bagchi, Rudranil Basu and Max Riegler, Daniel Grumiller managed to show that this entropy of entanglement takes the same value in flat quantum gravity and in a low dimension quantum field theory.

"This calculation affirms our assumption that the holographic principle can also be realized in flat spaces. It is evidence for the validity of this correspondence in our universe," says Max Riegler (TU Wien). "The fact that we can even talk about quantum information and entropy of entanglement in a theory of gravity is astounding in itself, and would hardly have been imaginable only a few years back. That we are now able to use this as a tool to test the validity of the holographic principle, and that this test works out, is quite remarkable," says Daniel Grumiller.

This however, does not yet prove that we are indeed living in a hologram -- but apparently there is growing evidence for the validity of the correspondence principle in our own universe.

Governments are HIDING aliens, claims former defence minister: Paul Hellyer urges world leaders to reveal 'secret files'

By Ellie Zolfagharifard For Dailymail.com
  • Paul Hellyer served as Canada's defence minister from 1963 to 1967
  • He made the comments during a speech at the University of Calgary
  • Hellyer says aliens have 'been visiting our planet for thousands of years'
  • Many walk among us, he claims, but it can be difficult to tell them apart. A former defence minister has accused world leaders of concealing the presence of aliens.

Paul Hellyer, who was a Canadian minister from 1963 to 1967, is now urging world powers to release what he believes to be hidden data on UFOs.

'Much of the media won't touch [the documents]', he said during a keynote speech at the Disclosure Canada Tour at the University of Calgary.

A former defence minister has accused world leaders of concealing aliens. Paul Hellyer, who was a Canadian minister from 1963 to 1967, is urging world powers to release what he believes to be hidden data on UFOs
You just have to keep working away and hope that someday you get a critical mass,' he said, according to a report by CTV.

'[The public] will say, in one way or another, "Mr President or Mr Prime Minister we want the truth and we want it now because it affects our lives."'

Hellyer, 91, first went public with his belief in aliens on Earth in 2005, becoming the first high ranking politician to do so.

He claims that the aliens have 'been visiting our planet for thousands of years' and are unimpressed with how we live.

'We spend too much time fighting each other, we spend too much money on military expenditures and not enough on feeding the poor and looking after the homeless and sick,' he said.

In this image, secretary of defense at the time, Robert McNamara (right) talks at the pentagon, in Washington with his Canadian counterpart, Paul Hellyer (left), in 1963. Hellyer is the first high ranking politician to publicly state that aliens are real

Last year, the former Canadian defence minister declared on Russian TV that aliens are walking among us.

But he said they are refusing to share their advanced technologies until we change our polluting and warring ways.

He told Russia Today's program SophieCo there are 80 different species of extra-terrestrials some of whom 'look just like us and they could walk down the street and you wouldn't know if you walked past one.'

In the bizarre interview, Hellyer made a series of pronouncements about aliens which grew increasingly outlandish and sounded closer to the plot of Star Trek.
'We have a long history of UFOs and of course there has been a lot more activity in the last few decades since we invented the atomic bomb,' he said.

'They are very concerned about that and that we might use it again, because the whole cosmos as a unity, and it affects not just us but other people in the cosmos.
'They are very much afraid that we might be stupid enough to start using atomic weapons again.'

However Hellyer told SophieCo that most of the aliens want to help rather than destroy us.

One are benign and benevolent and they do want to help us, there may be one or two species which do not,' he said.

Hellyer believes aliens are responsible for some of our modern technology including the microchip, LED light and Kevlar vest, he said.

He says he has never met an alien, but has seen a UFO near his cabin on Ontario's Lake Muskoka.

Hellyer described several types of aliens including 'Tall Whites' who are working with the U.S. air force in Nevada.

'They're able to get away with that; they had a couple of their ladies dressed as nuns go into Las Vegas to shop and they weren't detected,' he claimed.

Another group of aliens are called 'Short Greys' who have very slim arms and legs and are about five feet high with large heads.

A third group are called 'Nordic Blondes' and Hellyer said that if you meet one you'd probably say, 'I wonder if she's from Denmark or somewhere.'

Hellyer's claims are likely to fuel conspiracy theorists who often look at Nasa images for evidence of aliens. This image was taken by Mercury-Redstone 1A on December 19, 1960. 'It's actually the Earth in the background and the UFO is in space observing the Mercury capsule,' Scott Waring recently claimed

Ancient Wisdom of the Evolution of Life Revealed

Science, especially quantum physics, strives to reveal how what we can see, hear, and touch comes to be. A 9,000-year-old text known as the ChunBuKyung contains similar wisdom that is in line with our growing body of knowledge and theories. Using just 81 Asian characters, the ChunBuKyung denotes existence, the development of the cosmos and the role human beings play in it.

According to the ChunBuKyung, the beginning of all things started with One. In other words, only unmaterialized potential existed first. As potential, One never had a beginning, although everything came from it. This can be mind boggling. The ChunBuKyung, although at first seems incomprehensible, is really delineated according to understandable parts, if one takes the time to meditate on it.

At some point, the One divided into three aspects that the ChunBuKyung calls Heaven, Earth, and Human. These represent the spiritual, material, and energetic aspects of creation respectively. Heaven came first and is the basis for the essence of Earth. The combination of Heaven and Earth brought forth the essence of Human. In another sense, this trinity represents the three dimensions as we understand them today.

This original division occurred again. Heaven divided into three to become heavenly Heaven, heavenly Earth, and heavenly Human. Earth became earthly Heaven, earthly Earth, and earthly Human, and Human became humanly Heaven, humanly Earth, and humanly Human.

In this way, everything has these three aspects within it. While they are a part of us, life forms on Earth also take in “heaven” through the oxygen they breathe and ingest “earth” through food. We also release them in our waste. Our lives can only be maintained if we circulate Heaven and Earth.

After the first time, Heaven, Earth, and Human individuated countless times, with each individuation gathering and organizing into higher beings or entities. Sub-atomic particles become atoms, which combine into molecules, then cells, then, ever more complex multicellular organisms. Each entity created retains the characteristics of Heaven, Earth and Human. Division and gathering, growth and evolution have an eventual point of completion, a return to One. This process occurs over and over, a process of birth and death that can be seen in everything, from the smallest bit of matter to the largest celestial body, as well as the systems through which they interact.

No distinction or division exists in the One original and all-encompassing potential. However, as it individuates and takes on definite characteristics, duality can be seen. Yin and yang, day and night, land and water, heat and cold, and the continuum between these extremes. The characteristics of each entity are always changing, but the essence of each entity is still the One unchanging potential.

For our own lives, the ChunBuKyung reminds us that despite ever-present change and the eventual end of our physical body, matter, energy and spirit are within us, and in the center of that is limitless potential for creation. By uniting these three aspects of ourselves, we can align our individual consciousness with universal consciousness—the One. This wider view affords us detachment and choice of direction. When this connection allows us to complete our individual lives, physical death becomes meaningless.

One way to do this is through the ChunBuKyung itself. More than a series of characters, most of which represent numbers, the ChunBuKyung is a vehicle for the pure energy of One. Observing it, writing it, chanting it, or listening to it being chanted all deliver that energy. Leave yourself open to receiving it and then incorporate the awareness and feeling that comes with it into your decisions and actions. In this way, an ancient text becomes a living force in present-day life.
