Physicists say they have found a Higgs boson

Mar 14, 9:28 AM (ET)By JOHN HEILPRIN

GENEVA (AP) - The search is all but over for a subatomic particle that is a crucial building block of the universe.

Physicists announced Thursday they believe they have discovered the subatomic particle predicted nearly a half-century ago, which will go a long way toward explaining what gives electrons and all matter in the universe size and shape.

The elusive particle, called a Higgs boson, was predicted in 1964 to help fill in our understanding of the creation of the universe, which many theorize occurred in a massive explosion known as the Big Bang. The particle was named for Peter Higgs, one of the physicists who proposed its existence, but it later became popularly known as the "God particle."

The discovery would be a strong contender for the Nobel Prize. Last July, scientists at the European Organization for Nuclear Research, or CERN, announced finding a particle they described as Higgs-like, but they stopped short of saying conclusively that it was the same particle or was some version of it.

Scientists have now finished going through the entire set of data.

"The preliminary results with the full 2012 data set are magnificent and to me it is clear that we are dealing with a Higgs boson, though we still have a long way to go to know what kind of Higgs boson it is," said Joe Incandela, a physicist who heads one of the two main teams at CERN, each involving several thousand scientists.

Whether or not it is a Higgs boson is demonstrated by how it interacts with other particles and its quantum properties, CERN said in the statement. After checking, scientists said the data "strongly indicates that it is a Higgs boson."

The results were announced in a statement by the Geneva-based CERN and released at a physics conference in the Italian Alps.

CERN's atom smasher, the $10 billion Large Hadron Collider that lies beneath the Swiss-French border, has been creating high-energy collisions of protons to investigate how the universe came to be the way it is.

The particle's existence helps confirm the theory that objects gain their size and shape when particles interact in an energy field with a key particle, the Higgs boson. The more they attract, so the theory goes, the bigger their mass will be.

UFO, Mysterious Light Beam lifting Truck Stuttgart, Germany 02-2013

"It's a sad thing that after so much real evidence for the existence of UFOs, some hoaxers still find it amusing to try to discredit the work of credible researchers of these phenomena."

http://darebecomeaware.blogspot.de/

Being German, living in the same state where these instances supposed to have taken place, I took it upon myself to do a little research into the matter. And there are plenty of signs that lead me to be convinced this is a fraud. And not a very good one.

It appears that the two (or more) friends Christopher Zitterbart and Dominik Adam-Nikel thought it might be funny to do a video shoot of a different kind for once. Both are independent producers who work in advertising.

There are many things wrong with these videos, and I will point them out:

  • There are no TV channels like "PNC News" or "HPDM 9" to be found anywhere on the internet
  • The cam in the shot where the truck appears to be lifted doesn't show the 24 hour time format used in Germany (without exception)
  • Christopher Zitterbart doesn't appear to be anything but an award winning video producer in "creative producing" and advertising, according to his website http://watchmen.de
  • The "witness" Dominik Adam Nikel, which Zitterbart is interviewing on the highway does also appear to have ties to the production of commercials. I couldn't find a definite website of his, but the only links after searching his name that pop up show a single individual with that name living in Frankfurt, Germany. Others are registry inputs on certain pages http://www.redbox.de (he's mentioned in the first passage)  http://english.crew-united.com/ (click the search button top left screen) http://www.yasni.de/dominik+nikel/person+information (The photo of him looks similar I think, at a younger age)
  • The language seen in the cam shot of the "HPDM 9" video shows English language
  • The "reporter" Andrea Krauss is certainly not original German. From her facial features she's probably Russian-German (who always have German surnames, historical reasons), or eastern European married to a German, but with this heavy accent and grammar errors, she would never be allowed on TV as a reporter, even if a station like "HPDM 9" would exist. And not even with a pretty face like hers.
  • Also there is literally nothing to be found on the web in any German paper. And I do know how to search ;)

So as an original German, living in the same state (Baden-Württemberg) where these things supposed to have taken place, I can assure You that this whole "broadcast" even feels and looks like a bad fraud. I have to commend Zitterbart on the effects in the truck video, though.
I'm not sure if this evidence is enough to convince all viewers/readers, but it's enough to convince me.

It's a sad thing that after so much real evidence for the existence of UFOs, some hoaxers still find it amusing to try to discredit the work of credible researchers of these phenomena.

Is This Our Human Nature?

Is this really our human nature? To note: There is no REAL human nature. We simply are. But at the same time it is becoming more evident that we do have an innate quality to be and exist in peace.

How Do Human Beings Perceive Reality and What Does it Matter?

http://www.collective-evolution.com/2013/01/15/how-do-human-beings-perceive-reality-and-what-does-it-matter/

We are an infant race of seven billion separated by different belief systems of how the planet operates. Imagine a race united in their knowing rather than divided by their belief systems.

At the same time we all perceive our physical reality to be the same. By simply perceiving ‘how the world is’, we are simultaneously creating it.  Recent findings within quantum physics and mainstream science are just starting to understanding that consciousness and how we perceive reality are directly responsible for creating our reality. The typical perception is go to school, get a job, and participate in daily activities such as sports, movies, drinking and more. We wake up in the morning and repeat the same cycle without ever observing what is taking place on our planet.

Our current system is geared towards having us look ahead. When we are in school we are studying for our future so we can have a job, when we are at our job we are working to save money to have things and be secure. We are always participating for something ahead of us, which totally disconnects us from the present moment. Whilst participating in this system, we are so wrapped up in succeeding and surviving that we never question what is happening on planet Earth. Our sources for truth are mainstream media networks. We have given our consciousness away almost to the point where we stopped questioning things. By consciousness I mean how we perceive our reality.

If you really think about it, we take a child from a young age and pound them with our version of reality. In school, we are essentially taught the way the world works and operates. It’s become apparent that what we are taught is often what our parents were taught, which is also what their parents taught them. While we go through the system, some of us wake up and realize that the world is not how we are taught it is. We realize that there is a whole separate story to planet Earth. If our consciousness creates reality, and our perception of reality is responsible for shaping our reality, then new information and transparency on our planet has the potential to change the way we perceive.

UFOs for example, it is becoming obvious daily that we are not alone on the planet. Energy is another example, it’s becoming obvious that we have access to zero point energy. I could list a number of examples, but the point is that we live in a world that is characterized by a civilization that is separate in it’s knowing about the true nature of reality. What I mean is that we have a structure on the planet that thrives off of concealment of information. This structure has taken control of technological and scientific discoveries and suppressed them. Keeping known elements of our reality from us is a form of population control and perception manipulation. At the same time you can’t hide the truth, and the truth leads to something beautiful. Basically, we are all one, and we need to start seeing everyone as another facet of ourselves.

Many of us have been programmed to believe that it’s a a dog eat dog world, that it’s every man for himself. We constantly take on the emotions of anger, stress, discomfort and sadness that result from being in an environment that is not conducive to our natural state, but more so as a result of us not being at peace with ourselves. Our natural state is love, cooperation, relaxation and peace. A human beings experience on planet Earth might take one away from our natural state, but in real truth it is us that take ourselves away from our natural state.

We literally, scientifically have the ability to manifest any type of reality we desire given the type of energy we all emanate. An energy of love is much more productive then an energy of fear. Everything is made up of infinite potentiality, and the moment consciousness decides to create from that, creation takes place. The findings of physicist Thomas Young in his famous double slit experiment help to show this, and while doing so sheds light on the quantum field and how our entire reality operates. This is now fact, here is a scientific look of how consciousness creates reality from Dr Quantum:

It's official: Primitive life could have lived on ancient Mars, NASA says.

A sample of Mars drilled from a rock by NASA's Curiosity rover and then studied by onboard instruments "shows ancient Mars could have supported living microbes," NASA officials announced today (March 12) in a statement and press conference.

The discovery comes just seven months after Curiosity landed on Mars to spend at least two years determining if the planet could ever have hosted primitive life. To be clear, the new find is not evidence that Martian life has ever actually existed; Curiosity carries no life-detection instruments among its scientific gear.

"A fundamental question for this mission is whether Mars could have supported a habitable environment," said Michael Meyer, lead scientist for NASA's Mars Exploration Program at the agency's headquarters in Washington. "From what we know now, the answer is yes." [The Search for Life on Mars (Photo Timeline)]

Drilling into Mars

Curiosity drilled into a rock on Feb. 8, boring 2.5 inches (6.4 centimeters) into an outcrop called John Klein using its arm-mounted hammering drill — deeper than any robot had ever dug into the Red Planet before.

Two weeks later, the rover transferred the resulting gray powder sample into two onboard instruments called Chemistry and Mineralogy (CheMin) and Sample Analysis at Mars, or SAM.

CheMin and SAM identified some of the key chemical ingredients for life in this dust, including sulfur, nitrogen, hydrogen, oxygen, phosphorus and carbon, researchers said. Intriguingly, the mix also suggested a possible energy source for indigenous Martian life, if any ever existed in the area.
"The range of chemical ingredients we have identified in the sample is impressive, and it suggests pairings such as sulfates and sulfides that indicate a possible chemical energy source for micro-organisms," Paul Mahaffy, SAM principal investigator at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md., said in a statement.

The fine-grained John Klein rock also contains clay minerals, suggesting a long-ago aqueous environment — perhaps a lake — that was neutral and not too salty, researchers said.

"We have found a habitable environment that is so benign and supportive of life that probably — if this water was around and you had been on the planet, you would have been able to drink it," said Curiosity chief scientist John Grotzinger, of Caltech in Pasadena.

Exactly when this water flowed or pooled is unknown, Grotzinger added, though it was likely at least three billion years ago or so. [The Search for Water on Mars (Photos)]

Still looking for complex organics

SAM is also capable of detecting organic chemicals, the carbon-containing building blocks of life as we know it.

The instrument detected two simple chlorinated organics at John Klein, chloromethane and dichloromethane, just it did in a scoop of soil late last year at a different site called Rocknest.

Mahaffy urged caution in interpreting the recent find, as the John Klein sample was the first one to go through Curiosity's drill.

"There's always the possibility that some residual carbon that was on the drill bit made its way into the sample," he said. "So we're really looking forward to repeating this experiment and seeing if these signatures of simple chloromethane compounds persist."

The next drilling opportunity won't come until May, researchers said, since the relative positions of Earth and Mars will make communicating with Curiosity difficult for most of April.

Curiosity still hasn't found any complex organic compounds — things like amino acids, the building blocks of proteins. That's not necessarily a surprise, researchers said, since such long, complicated molecules tend to be degraded over time, making their detection a challenge, even here on Earth.

Even if complex organics are absent at John Klein, the site could still have supported life, researchers said. SAM detected carbon dioxide in the drilled sample, showing that the area had a carbon source for putative microbes to tap into.

Carbon "can be inorganic to be utilized by a microbe," Grotzinger said, pointing out that many micro-organisms on Earth feed on rocks and use carbon dioxide to generate the organics they incorporate into their cellular machinery.

Still, the rover team will continue searching for spots with a unique set of characteristics — including protection against Mars' relatively high levels of radiation — that could allow organics to be preserved for billions of years.

"That could take the entire length of this mission, but we're going to give it our best," Grotzinger said.

Troubleshooting a glitch

Analysis of the drilled sample was complicated by a computer glitch that's still affecting Curiosity today.

In late February, Curiosity's handlers determined that a glitch had affected the flash memory on the rover's main, or A-side, computer system. So they swapped the rover over to its backup (B-side) computer, which caused the robot to go into a protective "safe mode" on Feb. 28.

Curiosity emerged from this safe mode on March 2, only to be put on standby briefly once again a few days later to wait out a Mars-bound solar eruption. Full science operations have yet to resume, but Curiosity's B-side computer is working well as engineers continue to work through the mysterious problem with the A-side, team members said.

"These tests have provided us with a great deal of information about the rover's A-side memory," Jim Erickson, Curiosity deputy project manager at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, said in a statement. "We have been able to store new data in many of the memory locations previously affected and believe more runs will demonstrate more memory is available."

Engineers plan to upload two software patches later this week, then reassess when full mission operations can resume, officials said.

Curiosity landed inside Mars' huge Gale Crater on Aug. 5, kicking off a two-year prime surface mission to determine if the Red Planet has ever been able to support microbial life.  CheMin and SAM are two of the 10 instruments it carries to aid this quest.

While Curiosity has already made a number of interesting discoveries near its landing site — including an ancient streambed where water likely flowed continuously for thousands of years — its main destination is a set of interesting deposits at the base of Mount Sharp, which rises 3 miles (5 kilometers) from Gale's Center.

Spirit Science~ Toroidal Flow and Power of the Heart

http://soundofheart.org/galacticfreepress/content/spirit-science-toroidal-flow-and-power-heart

The Torus is a fundamental geometry in all of reality, and very inherently connected to the essence of our existence. It quite literally connects ideas about nature and energy flow with the infinite nature and the source field of all things.
